Top models may have won the genetic lottery with their long willowy limbs, but that doesn’t mean they don’t work their butts off (no pun intended!) to maintain their lithe physiques! There is lots of competition in the modeling world these days and great models know they have to keep in shape to stay on top of their game.
I work with models all the time and so I decided to ask a few of them to share their workout secrets for their actually very demanding jobs. (Ok I really am going to try these ideas…maybe after Thanksgiving??)
DANIELA LOPEZ
Gorgeous Daniela Lopez says the key to getting results in her workouts is jumping rope. (I would say it’s working!) This really gets the heart rate up which is essential for burning calories and kicking your metabolism in gear. She also likes to use the elliptical machine at the gym which targets several areas of the body.

American Paige Watkins keeps her highly enviable physique in top form by running on the beach and hiking. Splitting her time between Miami and LA certainly helps with getting the outdoor factor into a workout routine. When she’s at the gym she does weight and circuit training.

It seems like the key here is to mix it up. You need something like jump rope to get your heart rate up and your metabolism to kick in and then some weight training or other exercises to maintain your shape. But I think the real secret here is consistency. Any exercise routine that you do consistently is going to give you results but unless you have a clear goal, or in the case of these models your job depends on it, committing to a regular exercise routine is half the battle.
