Last winter, I wanted to workout my stomach muscles – the core – so I started yoga Vinyasa.
I have to say, I’m not really into meditation, self-reflection, and whatsoever but I needed, in order to get ready for the full marathon, to workout my core – sometimes I think I am a athlete!!! So I was kind of reluctant to go to my first Vinyasa classes – what are Om and shanti shanti shanti?? Where am I? Nobody told me I was in Tibet… I got trapped into this thing… so I tried to get used to the class, to get myself fit you know!
As a refresher, this Om song at the beginning of the class that we sing all together – I’m not even kidding – is like a primitive sound, the first sound of the universe when everything began!! From there, you just get away from your body and you fly far… isn’t that great? I get fit AND I get smarter…
Let’s get back to the point; I had a brainwave with my first classes and also with my teacher: Elke is so sweet, beautiful, she has positive vibes and she spreads it. As a matter of fact, I’m addicted now, addicted to my yoga mornings that start my day so well – because my classes begin at 6:30am, this is so nice and stimulating to be part of this yoga class when a new day begins, with the promise of a beautiful day full of surprises… and you know what? I’m so into it now that I go to the yoga twice a week and I’m starting to be good at it and can even try headstand in different positions!!! My spirit is even focused on my third eye now and can move away from my body!
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti: that’s the thing guys…
