It will be Valentine’s Day soon and once again, we wonder what present we can give to our lover. As always, we’re going to struggle to find an original idea which will end up being nice but not so original and which will be forgotten in a few weeks – sorry if I upset you but it’s true… and since I’m nice, I’ve found you a trick that I will be using this year. NO GIFT but instead a moment to share or “quality time” as someone close told me… A moment with just the two of us, when we can do something (or even don’t) that we like!
It’s not about doing something crazy awesome like taking a jet to see a live concert on the other side of the country! But rather something sincere and simple that we never have time to do and that may be unexpected and original.
– A dozen of oysters in a new trendy restaurant (if you live in Miami, try “Midtown Oyster Bar“). And oysters are aphrodisiacs so it’s perfect for the night to come!!
– A must-see exhibition that we want to show to our lover if you are in NY – Steven Meisel – Role play.
– 20 minutes of a crazy hydroplane ride above South Beach, it will definitely pin your lover down… a glider is really cool too…
– To climb the 669 steps to go to the second story of the Eiffel Tower and exchange a passionate kiss. Ranked #1 in my memory!!
– To share a tough gym class, running or scuba diving if you’re sporty, riding a horse if you’re a romantic or rollerblading for city people.
– simply spend the night at home, with candles, some bubble champ, soft light and music in the background – need I say more…
So this year trust me, don’t give gifts but spend time just the two of you. Believe me, it will be worth it!
I have already used this trick as I have celebrated Valentine’s Day thanks to “Shakespeare under the stars”. We applauded and fell into each other’s arms thanks to “the Tempest”, a beautiful, magnificent play, and romantic picnic under the stars….with my lover.
