No more stress or homework, no more waking up at 6 am… All is forgotten in summer, no more is to be done… I’m pretty sure those were the lyrics to a song?!
In just a few days I will be leaving for France, and Colleen to Singapour. The joy of family reunions, friends and new encounters, relaxing and doing what we please. Now doesn’t that sound amazing!
However before that comes the flight… 9 hours just to cross the Atlantic and poor Colleen is going around the world… traveling at least 20 hours and all in a very, very confined and enclosed space…
Now let’s be honest who doesn’t board the plane overwhelmed with a certain apprehension? The smell of a not so new and not so clean plane, the narrow alleys, the seats close to the bathroom, and beat up chairs. And of course that is nothing compared to the lovely meals we are all served… Personally I’m already praying for the seat next to me to not be occupied by a stinky old man or even a very nice yet very large man taking up 2 seats!! I honestly don’t know which is worse… Let’s face it, I’m not traveling in business class (what??!!), so I am not expecting to be spending 9 hours in heaven next to Max Martini (him again..) or Sir Richard Branson!! But please, have a little pity, I am simply asking for a young man, or even lady… nice and good looking who I could share a little conversation with before swallowing 2 sleeping pills and skipping the very non-appetizing meals, kicks and pushes when my dear neighbor must go to the bathroom for the 14th time F&%$# !!, loud teenagers, and screaming babies… Oh how I love to fly!
Have a safe trip and nice flight!
Lovely photos! x
