Yes I’m writing a fashion post! I know that this is a beauty blog, but I was so enchanted by the designs of fashion designer Ariel for Swedroebyariel, that I had to share.
Recently I had the pleasure of modeling some of Ariel’s gorgeous pieces for their social media accounts and I had a little tour inside the world of SwedroebyAriel. Ariel is only 12 years old and she has already discovered her passion for fashion and is pursuing her dreams. (When I was 12 the world was a different place and I hadn’t yet discovered the world of fashion and beauty being that the closest thing to fashion in my town was the Sears catalogue!) She recounts that her meeting with Stella McCartney, at her grandfather’s house at the young age of 8, made her realize her desire to become a fashion designer.
Ariel’s grandfather, Robert Swedroe, is a noted artist and architect. His art has been shown to critical acclaim and sold to art collectors across the globe. His pieces are vast collages of colorful narratives leading the viewer into the artist’s eyes. This is where art meets fashion; Ariel inspired by her grandfather’s art, has his breathtaking pieces laser printed onto fabric which she then carefully designs into wearable art. From dresses to skirts to palazzo pants and her new swim collection, Swedroebyariel’s pieces are unique.
Here are a few of the pieces that I wore for the pictures.
Pairing a colorful skirt with a crisp white shirt with sleeves rolled up lends a fresh touch to evening dressing.
Elevate a simple bathing suit with a gorgeous chiffon coverup.
Pristine white shorts or pants are the perfect match to a kaleidoscope of color in this silky blouse.
And for makeup? Keep it simple and let the beauty of the designs shine through. An even skin tone with a wash of foundation and a hint of bronzer, mascara and eyeliner and a pop of bright lip color if you prefer.
All her pieces are made to order. They are infinitely wearable, from the beach to an event, Ariel has a long career ahead of her. Remember her name!
