Summer! I can feel it, the humidity is already at 100% by 8 am and we aren’t even past memorial day! I am trying this summer to keep my whole beauty routine a little lighter and simpler, since that’s what summer is all about and frankly this humidity melts everything! (will power included)
We all know we need to wear sunscreen, everyday not just in summer, and we need to also smear on antioxidants in some form like a serum after our morning cleanse and under our makeup to keep our skin looking youthful, but who wants to layer all that on only to melt by lunch? May I recommend my new favorite serum/sunscreen Anthelios AOX. I’ve been using it for two weeks now, under makeup, alone and while running. It’s a dream! What I have always disliked about sunscreen is the sticky feel to it. This melts right in like a light moisturizer or serum and doesn’t run into your eyes if you sweat profusely (like running in Miami will do to you) It is also a great makeup base, like a primer for everyday. With SPF 50 and antioxidants vitamin C, vitamin E and Baicalin* it is my new anti-aging best friend.
* Baicalin comes from the root of Skullcap, an herb used in Chinese medicine. On the skin it is said to help prevent damage from UV rays.

Hi Goldie! No it didn’t cause me any break outs, in fact it’s very light weight.It’s really important to make sure to really wash off any product that has SPF because it can clog pores. I find that their cream sunblock is quite heavy but this one is more like a very lightweight lotion. Thanks for reading 🙂
