This morning Colleen and I decided to take a little relaxing break in Wynwood. At the moment this is the most trendy area of Miami in my opinion. It’s also along these few streets just at the southern part of the Design District that several private art galleries such as the Rubell Collection and the De La Cruz have set up their installations. And it’s where graffiti artists have splashed the walls of the buildings with their amazing creations. Wynwood has become the “ it “ place for locals to hang out and those seeking art and culture instead of the beach come to when visiting Miami.
So we spent our morning sipping cappuccinos at Panther coffee, the utmost of cool but low profile hang outs where locals, hipsters and artists spend their mornings. The coffee is ground on the premises sending wafts of coffee scented air around us! The sunny terrace is the perfect place to start the day.
Colleen took advantage of the surroundings to engage in her other passion: photography!
Here are a few out takes from our arty morning.
