I’m totally addicted to the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 Christian Dior Collection. An Haute Couture which is really Ready-to-wear because it’s so wearable … Addicted to this black printed plastic coat and embroidered absinth and black cotton guipure dress, addicted to the bright green everywhere in this collection, addicted to this embroidered silver and pink sequins, black/blue cotton guipure, and green wool dress that worn Marion Cotillard at the Oscar 2015 nominees dinner, addicted to vinyl leather thigh high boots in all colors, I would kill to possess them … All this leads me to the following question; what are we going to wear this summer, what look to pick up for this coming Spring…
At this time of the year, I’m always a bit lost in my closet. I would go easily for black which is always elegant, easy to adapt. Wearing black I can happily rock my style with an accessory or a little something borrowed from the love of my life’s closet or mix it with a t-shirt sporting a message. But right now, I’m a little bit out of inspiration and I need think outside the box, be different. Today I mixed an old pink crepe skirt + a black leather top + white vinyl “zizi” shoes by Repeto. Do I rock? Yes I do!
I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to refresh my closet… Nice! I’ve begun to shop but I don’t have the time to really physically go shopping so I go online and I buy some pieces and brands that I know and will suit me perfectly. For the awesome pieces that will complete my look, I will go shopping and try them on before buying… Naturally I go for JCrew, a really nice brand which continues to grow, full of colors and good basics. I also like Zadig & Voltaire or Zara, which cannot be overlooked. For vintage pieces, I enjoy shopping at Vestiaire Collective, which has a really great collection, pieces put under the microscope, sent quickly and cheaply from France… Then this little brand that I see everywhere now, Miansai. I already bought some of their pieces, it’s nice and original. Colleen, you have also been looking for some new jewelry, easy to wear, try this brand… Colleen is also working to refresh her style and we are managing it slowly! It’s easy, as my partner is lucky to have a natural charm and grace, she’s ” Hamptons style” classy and has a slender silhouette… the idea was to introduce some rock and roll and a few twists in her clothing. Consider it done and perfect! Example: a well made white t-shirt with small skulls on the elbows…
