Gone are the days when we would slather ourselves in baby oil and bake in the sun only to burn and peel later. Although it was kind of fun, it was certainly detrimental to our skin! Today we have so many options for sunscreen, which is a must to protect against skin cancer and the best anti-aging product out there. I was pleased to notice a few brands including sunscreen oils this season. Wouldn’t it be great to still get the benefits of a broad spectrum sunscreen but in a deliciously scented oil like the good old days? ( although if you’re in your 20’s you might not know what I’m talking about! )
L’Oreal’s Sublime Sun sunscreen oil is SPF 50+, has a delightful light coconut fragrance, and is a nourishing blend of oils including argan oil. It leaves a lovely sheen on the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. This is a great addition to my makeup kit as I often have beach shoots and need the models to have a nice sheen on their body. I used to layer sunscreen under a dry oil but this one will achieve both the sheen and the protection. As with any sunscreen spray be careful when spraying outside in the wind as you might not be getting enough on your skin for adequate protection.
Enjoy the last hot and humid days of summer and don’t forget to reapply!
This L’Oreal’s Sublime Sun sunscreen oil sounds so promising enough to me.
I have to try this! I find typical broad spectrum sunscreens very greasy, and they leave a chalky, sticky residue on the skin which gets worse in humidity.
But it protects the skin from environmental irritants,
absorbs UV radiation from the sun, and helps repair skin cells.
It is one of the most precious oil since it can be found
only in Morocco. Hence, one should be keen to learn the ropes while at work.
