Mother’s day is around the corner and although it feels like it has become a commercial event, I think it’s a great day to pause and reflect on how much our mothers have done and do for us and if you are a mom, as I am, to spend some relaxed time with your kids.
Moms deserve a little beauty and selfish time too so here are a few of my picks for moms to feel pampered and feminine.
1. Bobbi Brown’s Instant Pretty Set– This makeup line is a classic and all of their products are great quality, I use many of them in my pro kit. This is a pretty set that includes a classic eyeliner, mascara, pretty pink lip gloss and a lovely shimmer blush that will make mom instantly glow.
2. Nuxe has just launched a special edition bottle of the perennial favorite Huile Prodigieuse. Adorably illustrated it will look beautiful on the bathroom shelf as well as make mom’s skin supple and deliciously scented. ( For a less girly look the classic bottle is pretty too, see here)
3. Madewell’s pochette with a beach scene is perfect for summer, as a small clutch to go with her sundress, to carry sunblock and beach essentials or just as a makeup bag.
4.Sonia Kashuk’s special edition brush set will look very chic on any vanity and despite the great price these brushes are of very good quality.
5. Guerlain’s Meteorites have always been a favorite of mine. The little balls smell like candies and just a swirl with your powder brush onto your face brings light to the complexion. The new packaging is exquisite, like a little jewel box.
6. Your mom’s favorite perfume is always an apt gift but I couldn’t resist adding this feminine eau de lingerie from Guerlain. It is to spray on your lingerie or anywhere in your drawers. It smells divine and the bottle is beautiful.
