As you know it’s Christmas, and yes I am a conscientious person, full of good intentions and I say it loud and clear! I think about my family who is so far away, reminding myself that family is the most important thing and I think about all the good times we spent together.
Ask yourself the question; it’s the same with your good friends, right? You shared important moments with them and now, you’ve lost contact with many of them – I don’t want to generalize but still, as for me, I can count my really best friends on the fingers of one hand, maybe two – oh come on, tell me how many of you have been disappointed with friends who were supposedly “best friends”?
Life’s too short, we don’t take the time to really do the little things, we don’t make the effort anymore, we procrastinate to make a small phone call, but it’s this call that keeps us in touch with our loved ones. It’s sometimes difficult to juggle everyone at the same time; your partner/your children/your family/your job, and we just go along with the daily routine and the “yeah well I’ll do it tomorrow”, and then we forget…
Family will always be there though, forever and ever, and even if we get mad, if we’re facing family troubles, you can at some point fix everything and grab your second chance to clear things out with this person/to explain what’s wrong/to get close again!
Christmas is here, so let’s try to gather, to share, and to love…
I wish you all a Merry Christmas with your loved ones!
