The Fall season is on its way…well at least for most of the country, because Colleen and I enjoy the sun all year-long! That’s Miami!
Anyway, for this new season, we will still be trendy – as always – or at least we will try to, because as for me, I’m not really fond of some particular Fall trends:
Let’s just say that the 60s style and the vinyl material are wearable but orange or brown fake fur and clothes with big prints which remind me the 70s, no way, that’s too much for me. Same for the gingham, I’m too old for that and I don’t live in Saint Tropez!
However, I do agree with clothes in python and snake print. I’ve just bought a Zadig et Voltaire jacket in a python print which would make you crazy if you saw it…
I also have an obsession for leather. Absolutely any kind of leather clothes. And never mind, I’m saying it: I secretly dream of really soft, sexy and gorgeous old school leather pants…
I’m very into the new military trend as well. Okay, it’s been the trend for a few seasons now, but still, it is a must-have. Thanks Olivier Rousteing, AD at Balmain, for playing with this military trend for a few seasons now and for making me dream of all these leather and military outfits. Leather, leather, always and forever…
Finally, I love the preppy style that reminds me of Back to School and New York looks! Ah and don’t forget the “easy wearing” – does that exist or is it a brand new concept that I have just invented? The JCrew grey Vans which give you a British banker’s style… By the way, let’s talk for a bit about JCrew. This brand has great potential, everybody will talk about it soon, I’m telling you! The AD, Jenna Lyons mixes men/women outfits, showy pieces like those big colorful Baroque necklaces which we saw at the beginning of the year. That’s what I call the “easy wearing”: this desire to be different but in a cool and personalized way. The clever mix between the good taste of New England and the French “je-ne-sais-quoi”. The concept basically brings together the best codes of both sides of the Atlantic to create a surprisingly original brand. Still relatively unknown in France – for the moment, you can only buy these clothes online via London – this US brand is launching its first European Flagship in Sloane Square (London) this month. I bet this brand will flood the French fashion very soon… besides, Garance Doré (no need to say who she is, we love her so much at Blush&Beyond…) has just mentioned JCrew this week. Indeed, she really likes this brand… How can you still have doubts?!
Just go on the website and have a glimpse. This brand is simple but trendy and offers outfits that you can wear in any situation! And icing on the cake, this week you would go mad just by looking at “the New York Knights rugby team” featured in the catalogue… such awesome athletic men which fit their clothes perfectly: classy AND sexy, hold me back, I may go wild!
Just remember: JCrew is THE new brand under the spotlight and will be a fashion must-to-have soon!
Here are my JCrew coups de coeur….
