Christmas and New Year’s are over! However many of us will desperately remember them for the weeks to come! Am I the only one who had too many cocktails, glasses of champagne and Christmas goodies such as our precious foie gras?? You are going to say, “You’re French, you will lose it in 2 Minutes! ” Ah, the famous French myth! Just to think about it makes me laugh. It’s bullshit!! Kilos or pounds, they are the same on both sides of the Atlantic! French or American, it’s the same fight against fat…
There are of course several techniques to fight off those pesky extra pounds we gained over the holidays. Personally I’m quite a fan of “The Devil Wears Prada” method where Emily, aka Emily Blunt, is so proud to tell shocked Andy (Anne Hathaway) that she only allows herself a slice of cheese when she feels she’s going to pass out!! I love it, but it’s so far from my vision of things…
Ok so exclusively for you and today only, I will share my technique for the post holiday season. First of all I focus on my hours spent sweating, which means even more running and yoga in this important period of intensive deflation- Oh ! By the way, Colleen and I are going to run the ” Ragnar Florida Keys” on February 6 and 7! 12 runners / 2 vans / 320 km / no stops. Yes, I know, it’s quite impressive…! You are more then welcome to encourage us!!! But let’s get back to our dear cellulite… So beyond this “athlete” training (yes indeed), a little dose of self-satisfaction is good for your mood in this fight against your #1 enemy!
Okay, now lets go to the big question: What’s should we eat? Not to be as crazy as our dear Emily, but I must say that I work my a** off at a 100% every day. I’m so busy / overwhelmed that I have lunch in 5 minutes either a small homemade soup or an avocado. I love it though! I could eat those every day, or even some grilled zucchinis with a little olive oil, and I invariably end things with a yogurt, which can’t do without. Ok I must admit it isn’t very very healthy, specially with my two unhealthy addictions:
– Coke Zero , I told you addiction is limitless !
– Small chocolate snacks!
You now know my diet secrets, but can we really call it a diet?? To resume I consume little food while keeping my little pleasures during the day to support my stress and loads of work and all this is of course washed down with Coke Zero. I must add that I do have a normal dinner! But I swear that the scale is on the right side… I must now leave you as I must drink a small glass of champagne to celebrate…
And you, what is your repetitive post food orgies routine??? I would be very interested as I could implement my own…
